Neat find

Cat­a­loging some let­ters last night I found this lit­tle gem. Mal­colm Coun­cil, Sumter Artillery, part of Cutts’ Bat­tal­lion wrote to Car­man in 1901.  Describ­ing how Cutt’s bat­tal­ion never received word to retreat from South Mt and was nearly cap­tured he wrote, “Gen.
