Nice compliment

I was thrilled today when I read in the lat­est Civil War Mon­i­tor that Vol. II of the Car­man man­u­script was given Hon­or­able men­tion by Dr. Ethan Rafuse, US Army Com­mand & Gen­eral Staff Col­lege Pro­fes­sor, in the Best Books of 2012 col­umn. Very thrilled about this.

Critical praise for Vol. II

Pamplin Park Seminar

I had a won­der­ful week­end at the Pam­plin His­tor­i­cal Park Fall Sem­i­nar in Peters­burg VA. Great speak­ers, great scenery, great food. Mary­land Cam­paign Vol 2 Vol­ume Two of Ezra Carman’s man­u­script has finally arrived! Find it on Ama­zon, Barnes & Noble or the WMIA Museum Store at Anti­etam. By far the most com­plete work avail­able on the bat­tle, and includes pho­tos from the era Car­man was work­ing, and also his maps to illus­trate the bat­tle action.
